Pokémon Just Dropped a Major Surprise for Massive 30th Anniversary Celebration
In 2026, Pokémon is celebrating its 30th anniversary with the What's Your Favorite? campaign, a yearlong event for fans everywhere. Now the company has issued a surprise announcement revealing a new way that people who love the franchise will be able to enjoy it soon.
Two Surprising 'Pokémon Night Out' Concerts Have Been Announced
When The Pokémon Company International announced the What’s Your Favorite? campaign in February 2026, it teased that "Night Out" experiences were coming. Back then, the company kept most details about what that meant under wraps. Only now have the shocking and exciting plans been revealed.
The details of two Pokémon Night Out events were announced today, and they took most fans by complete surprise. Both are Pokémon-themed in-person EDM live music experiences that will be held later this year. The first event will take place in the Intuit Dome in Los Angele on October 24, 2026, and the second is scheduled for November 10, 2026, in London's The O2 arena. Tickets for both events will go on sale on Friday, April 17, at 10:00 a.m. local time. Only people who are aged 16 or older are allowed to attend.

Both nights will be headlined by Marshmello and feature Alison Wonderland as the supporting act. The press release also described the incredible visuals that will be featured at the events, stating that there will be "custom sets and visuals created exclusively for Pokémon Night Out.” It went on to state. "Attendees can look forward to dynamic performances powered by innovative stage technology and Pokémon-inspired visual storytelling that will bring the iconic brand to life in an electrifying way."
The Pokémon Company International's Vice President Taito Okiura explained the thinking behind the unexpected events.
