Ben Affleck’s Shocking Housing Decision Shows He Wants to Fully Move on From Jennifer Lopez Divorce Drama
Despite being married for a rather short time, Jennifer Lopez and Ben Affleck scooped up a $68 million mansion for their blended family, complete with 12 bedrooms and 24 bathrooms. However, they haven’t been able to sell it, despite trying time and time again. But now, it seems Affleck is fully ready to say goodbye to the past by making a rather unexpected decision.
The DailyMail revealed that Affleck has let go of his share of the multi-million dollar mansion.
The documents read that Lopez is “solely responsible for all expenses [associated] with any future sale of her interest in the Wallingford Residence, including but not limited to broker’s commissions, applicable taxes, closing costs, etc.”
Lopez signed the property agreement, and Affleck signed one day later. So this means Affleck is wiping his hands fully of this home issue, and the last bit that connected the exes together.
For those who don’t know, Lopez and Affleck met on the set of the film Gigli. They started dating soon after and got engaged by the end of 2002. However, they broke up by 2004 after canceling their wedding days earlier. Then, in 2021, Lopez and Affleck rekindled their romance. A year later, they got engaged and married in a lavish ceremony. However, they then filed for divorce in 2024, and got officially divorced the following year.
Rob Shuter said what insiders spilled on #ShuterScoop, saying, “She never wanted the house. He did. Now she’s stuck with it. Jen hated it from day one. It was all Ben’s idea. She thought it was excessive—he thought it was private.”
