'Ready To Make New Friends': 'Pragmata' Developers Say Hi to the Artemis II Crew

It's been roughly five days since the historic launch of Artemis II to the dark side of the moon. Earlier today, NASA shared a photo taken by the Artemis II crew on their mission, which made the crew the first people in the history of mankind to view the other side of the moon with their own eyes. As Artemis II begins its journey back home, video game developer Capcom left a fun message for them, from the stars of their new video game, Pragmata.

In a post on X from the official Pragmata account, Capcom shared an image of the game's main characters, Hugh and Diana, sitting on the moon, waiting for the Artemis II crew. "Ready to make new friends," the post reads. The caption was a direct response to NASA's post, which reads, "Make new friends, but keep the old."

Pragmata is an upcoming sci-fi action-adventure game by legendary Resident Evil developer Capcom, in which players control human Hugh and android Diana as they search for a way to return to Earth after being trapped on the moon by a rogue AI system. Using Diana's ability to hack the robots and Hugh's marksmanship skills, the two unlikely allies fight against the AI and its creations.

Pragmata is a new IP and is not part of a previously established series.

Over on X, fans seem to be having fun with the Artemis II shout-out and the cute nature of the post. NikTek simply wrote, "Perfect marketing." Vaughn 2.0 noted how coincidental it was for the Artemis II mission to take place right before the release of a video game that takes place on the moon, writing, "Game came at the perfect time."

Pragmata releases on April 17, 2026, for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X/S, PC, and Nintendo Switch 2. A free demo is also available now.
