Is This The Most Beautiful Ski Edit Ever?

"We had originally edited this to be my AK segment for TGR's Pressure Drop movie," writes professional freeskier Parkin Costain in the caption of his new YouTube ski edit titled CADENCE Vol. 1.

"Unfortunately, a few days before the world premiere, we had to switch it up due to song licensing. Stoked for this cut to finally see the light of day."

Costain dropped the nearly four-minute edit on his personal YouTube channel on March 31, 2026, without warning.

It was a pleasant surprise for fans of the Whitefish-born and bred skier. An unforeseen icing on the cake that was 'Flipbook', if you will.

Costain is catering to internet engagement with the subtitle, "THE MOST BEAUTIFUL SKI EDIT ON EARTH," but after watching, it's hard to argue with the claim.

There's nowhere on Earth quite like Alaska, and Costain used every ounce of his big mountain prowess to make it look better than most.

My favorite moment comes at the 1:15 mark of the edit. Just when I thought Costain laced a perfect line down the daunting Alaskan face, he throws one of the cleanest shifty 360s I've ever seen in such consequential terrain. The landing is effortless. The pole drag to regain speed control is flawless. The following right turn is sexy as hell.

Costain continues to prove he's one of the best skiers on the planet, and with "Vol. 1" included in the title, we can only hope that Volumes 2, 3, 4, etc. are soon to follow.
