The Supreme Court has ordered the CBI to begin a preliminary inquiry into public works contracts in Arunachal Pradesh. This investigation will cover contracts awarded between 2015 and 2025. The probe focuses on firms allegedly connected to Chief Minister Pema Khandu's family. The CBI must submit a status report within 16 weeks.
