Easter might be a time for families to come together an enjoy each others' company, but it's also another chance to splurge.
Consumer spending on Easter is expected to reach a record total of $24.9 billion this year, according to the National Retail Federation. The amount surpasses the previous record of $24 billion set in 2023.
On a per-person basis, shoppers are budgeting a record high of $195.59, up from the previous record of $192.01 in 2023.
While record spending is in the forecast, some will be tightening their wallets and shopping are cheaper stores like Dollar Tree.
Is Dollar Tree Open on Easter?
Dollar Tree, which boasts over 9,000 locations, is open on Easter. However, some stores will be operating with different hours to allow employees to spend time with their families.

Dollar Tree Raised its Prices
Many shopping at Dollar Tree in recent years started noticing the store raised its prices, which eventually caused the massive chain to open up about the change.
"We’ve expanded our product assortment at over 6,000 of our stores offering our customers even greater deals at additional price points above $1.25. We will continue to expand our assortment to even more stores in the coming years," it said.
