Timex just launched a new titanium GMTwatch that’s built for adventure—and priced far below the competition. The Expedition Pioneer Titanium Auto GMT combines a lightweight titanium case, automatic movement, and dual-time tracking into one rugged package, making it one of the most compelling affordable GMT watches to drop this year.
Thanks to its incredible strength-to-weight-ratio and exceptional durability, titanium is one of our favorite materials for adventure watches. Most brands tend to charge a pretty penny for pieces constructed in the alloy, but our friends at Timex set the impressive Expedition Pioneer GMT at a surprisingly affordable price point.

With a 41mm case and matching H-link bracelet constructed in grade 2 titanium, the Expedition Pioneer is lightweight, comfortable, and tough as nails. A screw-down crown helps the watch achieve 200 meters of water resistance. The watch’s sapphire crystal is upgraded with an anti-reflective coating to improve clarity, while the sand-blasted, black metal dial dial is contrasted with round, molded, raised, white resin indexes for effortless time-telling at a glance.
The hands and markers are coated with lume for low-light legibility. A bi-directional, rotating 24-hour bezel paired with a punchy yellow GMT hand allows the user to track multiple time zones, making it a perfect travel companion, while date window at 3 o’clock adds to the overall utility. An exhibition case-back provides a view of the Miyota 9075 automatic GMT movement. The high-beat calibre offers a power reserve of 42 hours and is accurate to a factory rated -10/ +30 seconds a day.

For those who prefer a strap over a bracelet, the Expedition Pioneer is also available on a green nylon band (but with a green dial.) The strap is fitted with a titanium pin buckle and both options offer a quick release system, to make swapping styles seamless.
The Expedition Pioneer Titanium Auto GMT is available now at timex.com for $729 on the bracelet and $629 on the strap.
