'Beauty In Black' Season 3: Will There Be Another Season? Plus Season 2 Ending Explained

Season 2 Part 2 may have only just dropped, but Beauty in Black fans are already wondering if there’s going to be more!

The hit Netflix series just returned in March, and the ending left a lot of viewers wondering what comes next for Kimmie (Taylor Polidore Williams) and the Bellarie family.

The good news is that a third season is already confirmed, and is already finished filming.

Taylor revealed that Season 3 has already been shot.

“We already filmed it,” she told TVLine, adding “I’m horrible at spoilers, I don’t want to say too much!”

Sadly, Netflix previously confirmed that Season 3 will also be the show’s final season, meaning Taylor already knows how Kimmie’s story will end for now.

“It’s bittersweet because these people, even with how it ends, could continue on. There are a lot of different ways the story could still go. There’s so much going on. So yes, it’s bittersweet to know how it all shakes out,” she added to TVLine.

“I didn’t really understand it, and I still don’t know the exact reason. As a cast, we were trying to figure out why they would they do this. But if you look at a lot of the other [original] shows on Netflix, they have around 40-something episodes. Although we’re only in Season 2, the way they split [our seasons] into Part 1 and Part 2, we’ve already done 32 episodes now. I don’t know, maybe it’s something with their algorithm. We would have loved to keep it going for as long as we could,” she went on to say of the decision.

One surprising detail about Season 3? She confirmed it was filmed in just six days.

Taylor was asked by TVLine if that meant Season 3 will consist of only one part (eight episodes) given such a tight shooting schedule, but she wouldn’t confirm or deny.

The ending of Season 2 hinted at some major power shifts as the story continues in its third season.

Kimmie does not die in Season 2′s ending: she becomes more powerful than ever, fully stepping into her role within the Bellarie empire.

She teams up with former rival Mallory (Crystle Stewart) and husband Horace (Ricco Ross) to take control of the business and turn against the rest of the family. They even work with authorities, leading to a dramatic FBI raid that shakes up the family dynamic.

“I think Horace trusts Kimmie, and Kimmie is beginning to trust Horace. Trust might be a strong word. I think they all understand each other. In that world, everyone is dangerous, and they completely understand that they must look out for themselves. But sometimes survival means recognizing when your enemy might also be your best ally,” Taylor told Tudum.

At the same time, tensions remain high, meaning Season 3 will likely dive into betrayal and power struggles.

“They may be standing on the same side of the battlefield for the moment, but that doesn’t mean they’re not also watching each other very closely. The tension, the drama, and the power struggles are only going to deepen from here, and viewers are going to see these characters pushed further than ever before,” Crystle hinted to Tudum.

There is no release date set just yet for Season 3.
