There comes a time when every millennial must decide whether to get really into running or go to Japan.
My fiancé and I chose the latter, obviously, and it wasn't long before our inboxes were stuffed with Google Docs from friends who had similarly eschewed Strava check-ins for endless bowls of ramen.
As we sorted through dozens of recommendations, I was shocked that every friend said we couldn't miss teamLab Planets, an immersive art museum I had long assumed was a tourist trap designed purely for Instagram.
So, imagine my surprise when it turned out to be a trip highlight.
