Over the last couple of days, some outlets have suggested that Spurs have been in talks with Adi Hutter, who has been out of work since parting ways with Monaco last October.
The 56-year-old, who guided the Ligue 1 club to two back-to-back Champions League qualifications the previous two seasons, has now ruled himself out of the running, confirming that he will not be taking any job until the summer.
Hutter said (via Sky Sports Austria): “In recent days and weeks, I have been increasingly linked with various clubs. However, as I already stated immediately after my time at Monaco, I would prefer not to work as a head coach again until the start of the new season at the earliest. My position on this matter has not changed since then.”
Who are the leading contenders to replace Tudor at Spurs?
Reports suggest that Tottenham are trying their best to get Roberto De Zerbi, who they have identified as their dream candidate.
Sean Dyche has also emerged as an option for Spurs, given the Englishman’s vast experience in managing teams through relegation fights.
However, some sources suggest that Dyche has demanded an 18-month contract at Tottenham and is not too keen on taking a temporary role at the club for the final seven league games of the season.
