The show is “set in Manchester, England and follows a mother and daughter who also serve on the police force and see each other as their biggest obstacle on the job,” per Deadline.
Sources close to the project told the outlet that Phoebe had a “distinct connection to the show after reading the script. The city is a character unto itself in the series, and it was important to Charman that the leads understood that as well.” (If you didn’t know, Phoebe is originally from Manchester.)
The show’s creator reportedly “always wanted” to work with Phoebe following her performance in Netflix’s Fair Play, and she was the first choice to play the role of the daughter.
The sources also claim that they were impressed by Phoebe‘s questions about both the role and the scale of the series.
They’re searching for who will play her mother now.
At the same time, Phoebe also stars in a shark thriller coming to Netflix!
