India is exploring collaboration with international consortia for the development of sixth-generation fighter jets. Chief of Defence Staff General Anil Chauhan indicated potential partnerships with either a UK-Italy-Japan group or a France-Germany combine to ensure India remains at the forefront of combat aircraft technology.
