'Love Story' Producer Explains Why Carole Radiziwill Was Not Included in Series
After weeks of speculation, we finally know why Carole Radziwill wasn’t included in Love Story: John F Kennedy Jr & Carolyn Bessette.
If you didn’t know, Carole, 62, was married to JFK Jr.‘s cousin Anthony Radziwill and was good friends with the couple, who were tragically killed in a plane crash in July 1999.
While Anthony is included in the FX/Hulu series (he’s played by Erich Bergen), Carole is not featured at all.
In a new interview, Love Story producer Brad Simpson is explaining his decision to not have Carole in the show.

There’s tons of people in them, and you have to make decisions,” Brad told TV Insider. “And a decision we made was to really focus on creating Lauren, [Bessette's] sister, as a character because she was often an afterthought in all of this.”
“And so we thought it was important that, when Carolyn needed a confidant, it be her sister because they were very close,” he continued. “There were tons of people in their lives that we weren’t able to include. We’re trying to pack a lot into 43 minutes.”
Anthony died after a grueling battle cancer on August 10, 1999, less than a month after JFK Jr. and Carolyn‘s deaths. He was 40.
If didn’t see, Carole previously spoke out against the show while defending JFK Jr.‘s nephew Jack Schlossberg.
Starring Paul Anthony Kelly and Sarah Pidgeon, new episodes of Love Story are released at 9pm ET on FX and Hulu.
