'Secret Lives of Mormon Wives' Pauses Filming Season 5 After Taylor Fankie Paul Involved in Alleged Domestic Violence Incident

Production for season five of The Secret Lives of Mormon Wives has been put on pause.

On Monday (March 16), multiple sources confirmed to People that filming for the new season has been halted after star Taylor Frankie Paul was involved in a recent alleged domestic violence incident.

Keep reading to find out more…“They are not filming,” one source shared. “Taylor has some pretty serious stuff happening regarding her past, and they will see what happens. Until that resolves, they are off.”

A spokesperson for the Draper City Police Department in Utah also confirmed that there is an open “domestic assault investigation” regarding Taylor, 31, and ex-boyfriend Dakota Mortensen. The spokesperson confirmed that “allegations have been made in both directions” and “contact was made with involved parties on [Feb] 24th and 25th.”

If you didn’t know, Taylor and Dakota dated on and off from 2022 until 2024 and share 1-year-old son Ever.

Another source close to the cast confirmed that the other ladies on the show are distancing themselves from Taylor as the situation unfolds.

“None of the women want to be associated with her,” the source noted.

If you forgot, Taylor was previously arrested for alleged domestic violence in 2023 following an argument with Dakota. At the time, she was given misdemeanor charges of assault, criminal mischief and commission of domestic violence in the presence of a child after she was accused of throwing a chair at Dakota that allegedly hit her daughter. Taylor shares daughter Indy and son Ocean with ex-husband Tate Paul.

While appearing on Call Her Daddy in September 2025, Taylor said that the charges “were all dropped.”

Taylor is set to make her debut as the new lead of The Bachelorette for season 22 on Sunday, March 22 on ABC.
