Need Kids Winter Wear? Used Gear Seller Announces New Trade-in Deal

Kids' outdoor apparel company, Town Hall Outdoor Co., has a new partnership in the works that will help bring kids' outdoor gear for less. 

Town Hall Outdoor Co. has announced that they've teamed up with award-winning online gear resale site  Geartrade to launch a new resale program devoted to kids' winter sports gear. 

Geartrade, founded in 2019, is a leading online reseller of used outdoor gear.

Through both consignment and self-listing options, Geartrade allows individuals, retailers, and manufacturers to resell their outdoor gear and minimize the environmental impact of gear consumerism. The site also provides resale programs for major outdoor brands like DPS Skis, Jones Snowboards, and Flylow. 

The new program, coined RePlay, will accept gear trade-ins of Town Hall Outdoor Co.'s kids' winter apparel to be resold through Geartrade. 

The program aims to not only bring kids winter gear at lower prices, but also create a more sustainable way to kit kids out each winter without buying brand new gear each year after their summer growth spurt.

Via an online portal which Geartrade helped to design and engineer, the program will be accessible through the Town Hall Outdoor Co website, where trade-ins will receive credits towards future purchases. 

Resale will then take place through Geartrade.com. The reseller will also be supporting RePlay with operations such as consumer relationship management, warehousing, evaluation and repair of incoming gear, and fulfillment of resold products. 

“We’ve been looking to build a deep partnership with a resale team that could deliver on the highest level of quality, but still be affordable and compelling for our startup phase, as well as for the consumer. Geartrade checks all of those boxes and more,” said Robin Hall, co-founder of Town Hall, in a press release. “Kids outgrow clothes quickly, but great gear deserves more than one adventure.”

Town Hall Outdoor Co was founded in Steamboat Springs, Colorado, in 2020 with the mission to create durable, high-performance outerwear for kids.

Every product is made with a minimum of 85% recycled materials, with features like extendable grow seams that allow kids to get more life out of their products as they grow.
