TransWorld x The Album Leaf, Album Rerelease

"The Numero Group have today announced details of the release of a 25th anniversary edition of The Album Leaf’s second album, One Day I’ll Be On Time. Founded in 1998 in San Diego by Jimmy LaVille, guitarist of the band Tristeza, the album will be released on Friday 22nd May 2026.
Originally released in May 2001 on Tigerstyle Records, and recorded between Tristeza tours, One Day I’ll Be On Time weaves delicate guitar noodling, tinkling piano, reflective synth, eerie field recordings, and driving percussion into a meditation on the passage of time. This remastered 25th anniversary edition replicates the original, with fresh notes from author Adam Gnade and previously unpublished photos.
What happens across the course of the 12 tracks of One Day I’ll Be On Time is inherently timeless because the material never tries too hard to be “of an era” or of a scene or part of something - the fact that it became all three speaks highly of how this record has resonated with people all over the world.
The Album Leaf in 2001-era San Diego was an anomaly—quiet songs for punk scene kids, all newness and originality, no samey crap, no bandwagon. In the 20 years that have followed, countless bands have formed inspired by One Day I’ll Be On Time, but the original product still roars like its own beast."
