Nintendo's Mar1O Day Celebration Includes Chance to Win Vacation
Nintendo announced all sorts of ways it will celebrate everyone's favorite plumber on March 10, a.k.a. MAR10 Day.
They include games, giveaways, and more. Even grocery stores are getting involved!
Celebrating Mario all year
The year 2026 represents the 40th anniversary of the release of the original Super Mario Bros. game, and Nintendo is not letting the anniversary go unnoticed.
The company previously announced many plans for the year, including bringing back Super Mario Galaxy and Super Mario Galaxy 2 for the Switch 2.
A new version of a popular Mario sports game also was released last month for the Switch 2, and The Super Mario Galaxy Movie is set to be released in April, but those things are just the beginning.
Nintendo deals for days
Beginning Sunday, physical Nintendo Switch games including Super Mario 3D World + Bowser’s Fury, Super Mario Odyssey and Super Mario Party Jamboree – Nintendo Switch 2 Edition + Jamboree TV will be on sale at select retailers, including Nintendo stores.
That runs through March 14.
Additionally, My Nintendo Store and Nintendo eShop will offer deals on select games, including as Mario vs. Donkey Kong and Super Mario Maker 2 through March 15.
Win a wonderful experience
The giveaways and deals aren’t limited to games.
A two-night trip to Universal Studios Hollywood or a four-night trip to Universal Orlando Resort is also available through the end of May.
Gamers can redeem Platinum Points for chances to win that would include access to Super Nintendo World at the parks.
Get some fun online now
Subscribers to Nintendo Switch Online can play select Super Mario titles from Super NES, Game Boy, NES, and more, including all of the side-scrolling classics, Mario Paint, various editions of Mario Kart, and more.
Those who have the additional expansion pack will get another perk beginning March 10, when the Game Boy Advance game Mario vs. Donkey Kong, and Virtual Boy games Mario Clash and Mario’s Tennis become available to play.
Speaking of platinum points, Nintendo is offering a chance to win some of those via a weekly series of online games on Mario Kart World.
Everyone who participates gets 310 Nintendo Platinum points automatically.
Have your lunch and eat it, too!
If all of that is not enough, Nintendo has partnered with Lunchables to feature various games, including Pokémon Legends: Z-A, Donkey Kong Bonanza, and Mario Kart World on select varieties.
Each pack of Lunchables will have a QR code that fans can scan for a chance to win a Switch 2 and a digital game download.
