BREAKING REPORT: DOJ’s Autopen Case Against Joe Biden and Aides Closed by Prosecutors in Pirro’s DC US Attorney’s Office
The Justice Department’s autopen case against Joe Biden and aides closed by the DC US Attorney’s Office, according to The New York Times and CBS News.
According to CBS News, prosecutors in Jeanine Pirro’s office dropped the criminal case into whether Joe Biden’s aides unlawfully used the autopen to issue pardons.
CBS News reported:
Federal prosecutors in U.S. Attorney Jeanine Pirro’s office are dropping a criminal probe into whether former President Joe Biden and his aides unlawfully used an autopen to issue pardons, a person briefed on the matter told CBS News.
Two sources confirmed the existence of the probe, with one telling CBS News that the matter has since been closed because prosecutors were never able to find a legal hook to be able to pursue the matter further. CBS News has not determined precisely when the case ended.
Last June, President Trump ordered an investigation into whether the Biden administration used an autopen machine to sign key presidential documents like pardons — months after Mr. Trump had claimed his predecessor’s pardons were illegitimate.
Mr. Trump told Attorney General Pam Bondi and the White House counsel in a memo to probe what he claimed was a “conspiracy” to “abuse the power of Presidential signatures through the use of an autopen to conceal Biden’s cognitive decline.”
The New York Times also reported that the DOJ closed the Biden autopen investigation.

The Oversight Project broke the story about the Biden autopen scandal wide open after they discovered thousands of acts of clemency and executive actions were signed with an autopen rather than a wet signature.
Last March, the Oversight Project discovered there was a second frequently used autopen signature for Joe Biden’s pardons and commutations.
Autopen A and Autopen B have slight differences in the signatures.

Later it was discovered that a third autopen signature was in use starting the first week of the Biden Presidency to sign proclamations.
The Oversight Project responded to the report from The NY Times and CBS.
“We will wait for the facts to emerge, but accountability for the “scandal of the century” is desperately needed and deserved. We’ve laid out several ways to make that happen and will continue to push for results,” they said.
