Kate Middleton & Prince William Visit Communities in Wales Ahead of St David's Day
Catherine, Princess of Wales and Prince William are visiting communities in Powys, Wales.
The prince and princess visited a project funded by the Alexandra Reinhardt Memorial Award, focused on supporting the well-being of children and young people in the local area of Newton on Thursday (February 26), ahead of St David’s Day this weekend.
During their visit, Kate Middleton spoke about why she is so passionate about mothers’ mental health, meeting with members of Mums Matter, a perinatal service for women experiencing mental health issues linked to early motherhood, per BBC.
Ella Hopkins, a volunteer for the group, told the outlet that the Princess was “really invested.”
“She was asking lots of questions, you could tell she thought it was an important thing to be focusing on,” Ella said. “She definitely said that it’s something that she said felt passionate about, parents being able to be committed and devoted through their own stability.
Kate and William reportedly visited with many of the people in attendance along with visiting the local market and accepting flowers and small gifts from the crowds.
