Neil Sedaka Dead - Legendary Singer Passes Away at 86
Legendary singer-songwriter Neil Sedaka has died at the age of 86.
News of Neil‘s death comes just hours after it was reported that he was rushed to the hospital in Los Angeles on Friday morning (February 27) for not feeling well.
Neil‘s family confirmed in a statement that he passed away.

“Our family is devastated by the sudden passing of our beloved husband, father and grandfather, Neil Sedaka,” the family told Variety. “A true rock and roll legend, an inspiration to millions, but most importantly, at least to those of us who were lucky enough to know him, an incredible human being who will be deeply missed.”
Neil is survived by his wife of 64 years, Leba Strassberg, and their two children.
Some of Neil‘s famous hit songs include “Breaking Up Is Hard to Do,” “Oh! Carol,” “Calendar Girl,” “Laughter in the Rain,” and “Bad Blood.” He has a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame, was inducted into the Songwriters Hall of Fame in 1983, and was nominated for five Grammy Awards over the years.
