Students and alumni of Sailabala Women’s College in Cuttack protested on Saturday, demanding university status for the institution. Their demonstrations intensified after the state government announced four new universities in the 2026-27 Budget, while the oldest women's college in Odisha, with 18 PG departments and NAAC A grade, remains overlooked.
