Everton vs Man United Combined XI Revealed: Mainoo out, Garner & Cunha included

Manchester United travel to Hill Dickinson Stadium on Monday night to face Everton in the Premier League.

The Toffees have tasted defeat just once in their last six league outings, quietly building momentum at a crucial stage of the campaign.

On the other hand, United arrive unbeaten in all five matches under caretaker boss Michael Carrick.

With both sides harbouring ambitions of European qualification, this clash has all the ingredients of a fiercely contested encounter.

Here is a combined XI based on current form, tactical balance and player availability.

Formation: 4-2-3-1

Goalkeeper

Jordan Pickford

Senne Lammens has proven to be an inspired addition for the Red Devils but Pickford’s wealth of experience gives him the edge in this selection.

The Everton captain boasts a 70% save percentage, higher than Lammens’ 63% and also possesses superior ball distribution skills.

Defence

Diogo Dalot, Harry Maguire, Lisandro Martinez, Luke Shaw

The defensive line is dominated by United.

Dalot may not be at his absolute peak, but he is still a safer choice than Jake O’Brien.

Maguire and Martinez have forged a resilient partnership built on aerial dominance and front-foot aggression.

Luke Shaw has started every Premier League game this campaign, and deservedly takes the left-back spot.

Midfield

Casemiro, James Garner, Bruno Fernandes

Casemiro has quietly re-established himself as one of the best holding midfielders in the league.

While Kobbie Mainoo has flourished under Carrick, Garner’s growth at Everton under David Moyes cannot be overlooked.

The 24-year-old has been a near ever-present for the Toffees, earning praise for his relentless defensive work-rate and tactical intelligence.

Bruno Fernandes is untouchable in the number 10 role.

Attack

Bryan Mbeumo, Benjamin Sesko, Matheus Cunha

Iliman Ndiaye remains a dangerous and unpredictable winger, capable of unsettling any backline on his day.

However, recent form tilts the balance in favour of Matheus Cunha, whose direct running and clinical edge offer better end product.

Bryan Mbeumo is one of the best forwards in the league and takes the right-wing position.

Everton striker Thierno Barry has five league goals this season but has drawn blanks in his last three outings, a dip that allows Benjamin Sesko to claim the centre-forward role in this combined XI.
