CLIPPERS FORWARD SAM BOISVERT COMMITS TO ALASKA ANCHORAGE (NCAA DIVISION I)
The Nanaimo Clippers are proud to announce that 2005-born forward Sam Boisvert has committed to play NCAA Division I hockey at the University of Alaska Anchorage.
Boisvert, who first joined the Clippers during the 2023–24 season, has developed into a key offensive contributor for the organization. This season, the 20-year-old forward has recorded 34 points in 34 games, showcasing his consistent production, work ethic, and ability to impact the game in all situations.
Head Coach and General Manager Birkas praised Boisvert’s growth within the program. “Sam has earned this opportunity,” said Birkas. “He’s put in the work every single day since arriving in Nanaimo. His consistency, competitiveness, and ability to elevate his game in key moments make him well-suited for the NCAA level. We’re incredibly proud of him.”
Alaska Anchorage is also the future home of Clippers forward Charles Beland, making Boisvert the second Clipper to commit to the Seawolves program this season. With this commitment, the Clippers have now secured their third NCAA Division I commitment in the last month — a testament to the organization’s commitment to developing players for the next level.
Boisvert reflected on his time in Nanaimo and the opportunity ahead. “The Clippers organization has been huge for my development both on and off the ice. The coaching staff has pushed me to improve every day, and I’m grateful for my teammates and the community for their support. I’m excited for the opportunity at Alaska Anchorage.”
The Nanaimo Clippers continue to demonstrate their ability to prepare players for NCAA Division I hockey through a strong development model, competitive environment, and commitment to individual growth.
The entire Clippers organization congratulates Sam and his family on this outstanding achievement and looks forward to following his continued success at the Division I level.
