Pulp Fiction Star Peter Greene Cause of Death Revealed

Hollywood actor Peter Greene was found dead in his New York City apartment in December.

Greene, 60, known for his roles in popular 90s movies “Pulp Fiction” and “The Mask,” was found unresponsive in his apartment and pronounced dead at the scene.

At the time, police did not suspect foul play; however, the New York Daily News reported that a neighbor said Greene was found with a facial injury.

“Peter was lying on the floor, facedown, facial injury, blood everywhere..” the neighbor told New York Daily News.

There was also a handwritten note at the scene that read, “I’m still a Westie” — referring to a New York City-based Irish gang.

On Wednesday TMZ reported that Greene fatally shot himself.

The medical examiner said his official cause of death is a ‘gunshot wound of left axilla with injury of brachial artery.’

Greene’s death has been classified an accident.

TMZ reported:

The Office of the Chief Medical Examiner in New York City tells us Peter’s official cause of death is a gunshot wound of left axilla with injury of brachial artery … and the manner of death has been classified as an accident.

In other words, Peter accidentally shot himself in the left armpit and the bullet damaged the artery that supplies blood to the arm, elbow, forearm and hand.

As you know … Greene was found dead in his Manhattan apartment in mid-December after a neighbor heard music coming from his apartment all night and called the police when they knocked on the door, and no one answered. Police conducted a welfare check and found Greene deceased.
