Barack Obama Clarifies His Viral Quote About Aliens, Says He Saw 'No Evidence' That We've Been Contacted By Extraterrestrial Life
Former President Barack Obama is making a clarification about aliens after his quote over the weekend went viral.
If you didn’t see, the 64-year-old former president sat down for a chat with podcaster Brian Tyler Cohen and one of the questions Brian asked was about aliens.
“They’re real, but I haven’t seen them,” he said, before noting that they aren’t being kept in Area 51. “There’s no underground facility, unless there’s this enormous conspiracy, and they hid it from the president of the United States,” Obama added.
From there, Brian asked: “What was the first question you wanted answered when you became president?”
And the former POTUS responded, “Where are the aliens?”
Now, former President Obama is making a clarification!

He wrote on Instagram after his statements went viral: “I was trying to stick with the spirit of the speed round, but since it’s gotten attention let me clarify. Statistically, the universe is so vast that the odds are good there’s life out there. But the distances between solar systems are so great that the chances we’ve been visited by aliens is low, and I saw no evidence during my presidency that extraterrestrials have made contact with us. Really!”
