Winter storm watch affecting Western San Gabriel Mountains/Highway 14 Corridor and Antelope Valley Foothills
Western San Gabriel Mountains/Highway 14 Corridor, Western Antelope Valley Foothills and Eastern Antelope Valley Foothills were placed under a winter storm watch by the National Weather Service on Sunday at 8:59 a.m. The watch is valid from Tuesday 9 p.m. until Thursday Feb. 19, at 9 a.m.
The NWS Los Angeles/Oxnard CA said, “Heavy snow possible. Total snow accumulations up to 12 inches possible. Winds could gust as high as 50 mph.”
“Plan on slippery road conditions. The hazardous conditions could impact the Wednesday morning and evening commutes. Very strong winds could cause extensive tree damage,” the NWS said. “Monitor the latest forecasts for updates on this situation.”
