Lindsey Vonn's Father Calls Her Recent Injuries the 'End of Her Career'
Lindsey Vonn’s father Alan Kildow wants his daughter to retire and says her recent injuries are career-ending.
After tearing her ACL during a downhill race at the World Cup in January, Lindsey crashed just 13 seconds into an alpine ski downhill race during the 2026 Winter Olympics. She was treated by a team of medical professionals who said she sustained a complex tibia fracture that will take multiple surgeries to fix.

“She’s 41 years old and this is the end of her career,” her dad told AP News on Monday (February 9).
“There will be no more ski races for Lindsey Vonn, as long as I have anything to say about it,” he added.
The outlet reports that Alan and the rest of Lindsey‘s family have been staying with her while she’s being treated at a hospital in Treviso, Italy.
