State data breach exposes details of up to 50,000 officials
A large data breach at Finland’s state information and communications technology provider has exposed work-related details of up to 50,000 government employees, including staff across all ministries.
The breach targeted a mobile device management system operated by the State Centre for ICT Services, known as Valtori. The incident was detected on 30 January and disclosed publicly last week as investigations expanded the estimated scope.
