Mckenna Grace's 2016 Interview Goes Viral for Her Response to Reporter Who Didn't Know She's an Actress
An interview that Mckenna Grace did on the red carpet back in 2016 is going viral right now!
The young actress, who was only 10-year-old at the time, stepped out for the premiere of her movie Mr. Church and did interviews on the red carpet.
One reporter seemingly thought that Mckenna was the child of someone involved in the movie, even though she had a major role in the film.
After some questions about her dress, the reporter asked Mckenna, “Were you able to go on set and see mom work?”

Mckenna was rightfully confused and responded, “My mom?” When the reporter nodded, Mckenna said, “Oh, she doesn’t work in the movie.”
The reporter then asked, “Tell me a little bit more about what you were doing there.” Mckenna laughed and responded, “Um, I was doing acting.”

Before her role in Mr. Church, Mckenna had already been starring on The Young and the Restless for two years as Faith Newman. Her career took off in 2017 with her acclaimed role in Gifted, followed by movies like I Tonya, Captain Marvel, Malignant, Ghostbusters: Afterlife, and more.
Most recently, Mckenna starred in the movies Regretting You, Anniversary, and Five Nights at Freddy’s 2, which all were released at the end of 2025.
