Police in Palakkad, Kerala, seized a pick-up van containing over 100 boxes of explosives, including gelatin sticks and detonators, hidden beneath watermelons. The driver, apprehended after a chase, admitted to loading the contraband in Coimbatore and transporting it to a quarry in Thrissur. A case under the Explosive Substances Act is being registered.
