It's been over two months since the NBCUniversal blackout began on Fubo, and key networks are still missing on the live TV streaming service. With the NBC-hosted Super Bowl and Winter Olympics just around the corner, there are a few handy live streaming alternatives that can help bridge the gap.
Fubo first announced that NBCUniversal channels would no longer be available in any Fubo plans on November 21, 2025. The blackout came because NBCUniversal and Fubo were unable to renew their content agreement to distribute the networks, the latest in a long line of carriage disagreements. The service yanked several popular networks from its lineup, including local NBC affiliates and sports channels, Bravo, and the USA Network, among others.
The issue began just a week after the YouTube TV/Disney carriage dispute was resolved, which temporarily left YouTube TV subscribers without popular Disney-owned networks, such as ABC and ESPN. While the YouTube and Disney disagreement was resolved in a little over two weeks, there's no word on when or if NBCUniversal channels might be restored on Fubo.

There are three tiers of service, but you'll need Peacock Premium Plus to live stream your local NBC channel. The best overall Fubo alternative
If you're looking to ditch Fubo altogether and switch to a new live TV streaming service, DirecTV is the best alternative. The service's signature plans are most similar to Fubo's Pro and Elite offerings, although DirecTV has the notable distinction of not missing any major channels or networks in its lineup.

What channels are now missing from Fubo?
NBC local affiliates, Telemundo Local/National, and several NBC Sports regional channels (including NBC Sports Bay Area, NBC Sports Boston, NBC Sports California, and NBC Sports Philadelphia, among others) are now missing from Fubo's lineup.
Additionally, the list of missing NBCU channels includes Bravo, CNBC, E! Entertainment Television, the Golf Channel, MSNBC (MSNOW), NBC NOW, NBC Sports NOW, NBC Universo, Oxygen True Crime, Syfy, and the USA Network, among several others. When will the dispute be resolved?
There's no official word on when or if the NBCU channels might return to Fubo. As of February 2026, the Fubo Transparency Center lists an "Ongoing Negotiations" status. Fubo had a similar dispute with Warner Bros. when they were unable to reach an agreement in April 2024. The streamer dropped the channels at the time, and they remain unavailable to this day.
Several similar carriage disputes have emerged over the years. The YouTube TV/Disney dispute in Fall 2025 lasted about 15 days. In Fall 2024, DirecTV and Disney had a 13-day disagreement. In 2023, Disney and Charter (Spectrum) had an 11-day dispute.
What's going on with Fubo pricing?
Following the loss of NBCU channels, Fubo lowered the monthly subscription prices on its main plans. Pro subscriptions now cost $74 a month (down from $85 a month), and Elite subscriptions now cost $84 a month (down from $95 a month), among other changes. All subscriptions come with special introductory savings and free trials for new users. Additionally, Fubo applied a $15 credit to existing subscribers' December bills.
What will happen to Fubo Cloud DVR recordings of NBCUniversal content?
"Any Cloud DVR recordings you have of NBCU programming will remain on your account until they expire or you choose to delete them," according to Fubo. This is good news for those with deep DVR libraries because it means that if you recorded something from an NBCU property before the blackout, you should be able to keep it for the time being, even if the channel itself is no longer available on Fubo. Fubo allows users to keep recordings on their Cloud DVR for up to nine months, after which they'll automatically expire and be deleted.
Are there other ways to live stream NBC?
NBC is available in a variety of the best live TV streaming services beyond just DirecTV. Peacock is also included with services like Walmart Plus and Instacart Plus at no extra cost beyond the base subscription. However, these services only unlock the Peacock Premium tier (not Peacock Premium Plus with NBC live streaming). With Walmart Plus, you can switch between Peacock Premium and Paramount Plus Essential access every 90 days.
