Kathy Griffin Reveals Why She Doesn't Like Jon Hamm, Claims He Said Nasty Comments to Her

Kathy Griffin is not a fan of Jon Hamm and she’s not afraid to come out with claims against him.

The comedian says that she was once attending a Hollywood party and interacting with a legendary celebrity, only to be interrupted by Jon. She claims that Jon then whispered a nasty comment into her ear, ruining the moment with that legend.

Kathy says the moment happened at a party thrown by legendary Hollywood agent Sue Mengers, who passed away in 2011. This means the moment had to have happened more than 15 years ago.

The run-in with Jon happened while Kathy was chatting with Jack Nicholson.

“So I’m at Sue Mengers’ party and she would have us eat around the coffee table instead of the dining table, which was even more intimate, and I had met Jack a couple of times, but I was shy around him because he’s Jack Nicholson,” Kathy said on the In Your Dreams show with Owen Thiele on SiriusXM.

Kathy continued, “And so one time we were at the party and he turns to me, he says, ‘Kathy,’ and I’m like, ‘Whoa, he knows my name,’ and so he started talking about making the movie The Departed, which I think is a classic, and I’ve seen it many times, and so I’m in a conversation where Jack, who normally doesn’t talk about his work at all, he usually talks about how he’s f–king, which is also interesting. But anyway, he’s talking about playing a Whitey Bulger type character and Whitey Bulger had just been found and arrested after decades of being on the run and I’m thinking, ‘Oh my god, Jack Nicholson is talking about the one topic I would want to ask him about.’”

“And then Hammy was wasted, so he’s next to me in my ear and he’s going, ‘You’re so old. What’s it like to be so old? You know your Emmys are fake Emmys?’ And I go, ‘No, Hammy, and you don’t even have an Emmy,’ and then I turned back to Jack who missed the whole thing, but I never forgave Hammy for that,” she added.

Jon did end up winning an Emmy in 2015 after 13 previous losses.

Kathy recently shared how she “accidentally fell in love” with a 23-year-old man.
