Is Something in the Air in Utah? University of Utah Offers Course On ‘Black Trans Lesbian Marxists’
After the recent threats in Utah, most notably the horrifying, politically motivated murder of Charlie Kirk, one would have hoped their schools would have toned down the anti-American rhetoric. Unfortunately, they haven’t.
In the latest in radical University “thought” according to Campus Reform, “This semester, the University of Utah English Department is offering a course on “Black Trans Lesbian Marxists Who Scare You (and are probably pro-Palestinian too).”
This is a clear waste of time and money that advances academic discourse in absolutely zero ways.
The description for this absurd course reads as one would expect from a cultural marxist playbook, stating, “we’re all about the viewpoint diversity.”
The students taking this course are required to read absurdly sexually explicit content.
One of the readings for the course is even called “Argument for the Low-Budget Gay Movie.” There are other “classics” such as “Gay Guerrilla” and “Evil N****r.”
Not everyone at this school is amused by this absurd choice of reading.
One student named “Rylie Barnes told Campus Reform that she thinks “this course makes me feel like it’s less like an open academic course and more of an environment made to discourage debate and pressure conformity.”
Barnes argued that “it’s courses like this that pressure conservatives who already feel marginalized on campus.”
It’s absurd and offensive that a course like this would require students to read such horrendous and explicit works.
The fact that this didn’t occur in a blue state but rather in an officially red state shows yet again how academia across the board has almost completely been captured by the woke left.
One hopes that the movement that elected President Trump will do more to end the American Marxist takeover of academia and end the so-called cultural revolution.
As important as it is to have conservatives in government, we should not just accept American cultural institutions teaching subversive ideologies as this course does.
We must have patience, but put an end to the long march through our academic institutions.
