The Ministry of Health and Welfare has clarified CGHS OPD consultation charges, stating that Rs 350 and Rs 700 rates apply only to consultations by super-specialists with DM or MCh qualifications in empanelled hospitals. Existing norms for IPD cases, limiting specialist consultations to two per day, were also reiterated.
