‘Fresh Prince of Bel-Air’ home hitting the market for nearly $30 million
The California mansion made famous as the setting for ’90s sitcom “The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air” will soon be hitting the real estate market.
The 10,000-square-foot home offers six bedrooms, seven complete bathrooms and sits on a 38,510-square-foot-lot, according to TMZ. It’s expected to go on the market by the end of the month for just under $30 million.
It’s been nearly 50 years since the 89-year-old Georgian Colonial estate — which is actually in the Brentwood neighborhood — was last sold. The home sits two blocks from the former estate of infamous ex-football star and acquitted murder suspect O.J. Simpson. Filmmaker Judd Apatow reportedly owned the home next door until recently.
“Fresh Prince” fans know the posh pad as the place where Will Smith’s eponymous character relocates after getting into trouble in his West Philadelphia neighborhood. He’s raised by his wealthy aunt and uncle in the West Coast mansion.
Smith refers to the house as his “kingdom” in the program’s popular theme song.
TMZ said the house is being listed by The Altman Brothers real estate group, which has worked with celebrities including reality TV star Kim Kardashian, rapper Ye and former Giant’s star Michael Strahan.
