According to an EU climate monitor, 2025 ranked as the third hottest year on record, with no significant cooling expected this year. In its annual report, the Copernicus Climate Change Service said the past 11 years have been the warmest ever recorded, with 2024 the hottest and 2023 close behind. Developing countries are especially vulnerable to the impacts of climate change, as many populations lack adequate protection from flooding, wildfires, and extreme heat.
