Michael B Jordan Shares Mum's Real Reaction To Nikki Glaser's Explicit Joke
Michael B Jordan is lifting the lid on how his mum really felt about Nikki Glaser’s sexually-charged joke about him during this year’s Golden Globes.
On Sunday night, the Marvel star was the subject of an explicit joke made by the Golden Globes host, who remarked that the sight of Michael playing twins in Sinners made her “like Nikki B Jerkin’ because that was awesome”.
“I’m sorry Michael, why did I make that joke?” she quickly added. “I know your mum! I’m so sorry! I should not have said that to you, that should have been a DM. My mistake.”

During the broadcast, the camera immediately cut to Michael and his mum in the audience, with the latter reacting to Nikki’s remark by silently rolling her eyes and taking a sip of her drink, which the Sinners actor acknowledged during a new interview with Jimmy Kimmel “stole the show”.
Asked whether his mum gets “uncomfortable” when women “openly lust” after him, Michael quipped: “I think by now she’s used to it. So she just gives a little eye roll and just kind of keeps it pushing.
“She doesn’t really respond too much.”
Nikki has received a mostly positive reaction to her second year hosting the Golden Globes, during which she poked fun at several of the male nominees in attendance, most notably Leonardo DiCaprio, Timothée Chalamet and Sean Penn.
Since the ceremony, she’s also opened up about some of the jokes she wrote that didn’t make it into her comedy monologue, including one-liners about ICE and Donald Trump, which she cut out of concern that she was “trivialising” serious issues.
“It’s hard to strike the right tone,” the comedian conceded during an interview with US broadcaster Howard Stern earlier this week.
However, several political jibes did make it into her opening routine, during which she made scathing jokes about CBS News, which she branded “America’s newest place to see BS news”, as well as comments alluding to the heavily-redacted Epstein files released towards the end of last year.
