Colleen Hoover, best known for writing novels like It Ends With Us, Verity, and Ugly Love, has revealed she is undergoing treatment for cancer.
The author shared a photo of herself on her Instagram Story on Monday (January 12) that shows her standing in front of a mirror while dressed in a hospital gown ahead of radiation treatment.

“Second to last day of radiation! I wish I could blame my hair and facial expressions on @texas.oncology but they’ve never been great. Hope you never need them, but highly recommend them,” she wrote, referring to the Texas Oncology medical care center.
In December, Colleen shared on Instagram that she would be unable to attend a promotional event for the adaptation of her novel Regretting You.
At the time she said was getting “unavoidable surgery” and would be unable to travel for a while.
Shortly after that, in a Facebook post shared to her fan page Colleen Hoover’s CoHorts, she opened up about her cancer journey. The page itself is private, but Instagram user @katyinkc shared a screenshot.
Colleen wrote that she had been filming Reminders of Him in Canada (which will be released on March 13) and had “recurring health issues” she had been putting off. She discovered she had cancer upon returning home and said it has “since been removed through surgery,” but the doctors would be following up with radiation, no chemotherapy.
We’re sending our best to Colleen at this time.
