By removing Section 213 and amending Section 370(1) of the Indian Succession Act, the recently passed Repealing and Amending Act, 2025 places the wills of a deceased Hindu, Jain, Sikh, Parsi, or Buddhist person in Mumbai, Kolkata and Chennai on par with those in the rest of the country.
