Susan Boyle Is Loving Her Marty Supreme Jacket After Timothée Chalamet Shout-Out
Susan Boyle is now the proud owner of a “Marty Supreme jacket” after getting a special shout-out from Hollywood icon Timothée Chalamet.
Last week, Susan’s name came up during an interview with the two-time Oscar nominee, when he was asked which British celebs he’d most like to send a jacket to, having previously gifted them to people he felt were “greats” in their field.
After listing Sir David and Victoria Beckham, Lewis Hamilton and the rapper Fake Mink, Timothée then name-checked the I Dreamed A Dream singer, as she “dreamt bigger than all of us”.
“Who wasn’t moved by that [story]?” he enthused, referring back to Susan’s Britain’s Got Talent audition more than 15 years ago.
“I remember that like it was yesterday. That was like the advent of YouTube, you know?”
Since then, BBC News has given an update, revealing that the BGT finalist has now received a “Marty Supreme jacket” in the post, enthusing: “Thanks so much for the kind words once again, Timothée. All the very best for the film, looking forward to seeing it on Boxing Day and thanks for the jacket, it fits like a glove!”
Marty Supreme is Timothée’s latest film, and arrives in cinemas later this week.
The sports drama tells the story of a table tennis aficionado with a big dream, and co-stars Gwyneth Paltrow in her biggest acting project in more than a decade.
Susan, meanwhile, has been taking time out from the spotlight in recent years, after suffering a stroke in 2022. However, she has been teasing a return to the music scene for some time, hinting that her eighth studio album could be on the way in the year ahead.
Her debut release I Dreamed A Dream remains one of the biggest-selling of the 21st century, and earned her the first of two Grammy nominations upon its release at the end of 2009.
