A Top Actress Is Gushing About Keanu Reeves — 'We Bonded'
A top actress is singing the praises of Keanu Reeves, revealing how deeply they bonded.
Ana de Armas opened up about Reeves during the “In Conversation” session at Saudi Arabia's Red Sea International Film Festival on December 5. According to The Hollywood Reporter, de Armas, who starred with Reeves in the John Wick movie, Ballerina, "reflected on her long friendship with Keanu Reeves."

De Armas said on the panel that she met Reeves about a decade ago when she first arrived in Los Angeles. (De Armas, who recently split with Tom Cruise, was seen out with venture capitalist Marcelo Valente in December.)
“When I first moved to L.A., we did Knock Knock together, and at that time I barely spoke English,” she recalled, according to THR. “It was kind of a frustrating journey not being able to fully communicate, but we still had a great time. We bonded really well, and we have a beautiful friendship.”
According to THR, de Armas described Reeves as “incredibly kind and generous,” and she discussed reuniting with him in Ballerina, saying, “It felt full circle. Keanu and Chad [Stahelski] have built such a beautiful world with those films, and having him there, supporting me ten years later, meant a lot.”
De Armas said she didn't intend to be an action star. “I never thought of myself as athletic or imagined I’d do action movies,” she said, according to THR. “It started with No Time to Die, then The Gray Man and Ghosted, and Ballerina was another level — very challenging, very demanding. But it was also an exciting character to play, and I really loved expanding that universe.”

Despite the high praise, there is no indication that de Armas and Reeves are anything but friends. He has a longtime girlfriend named Alexandra Grant, whose Instagram page describes her as a Berlin-based artist. Grant also has a website.
According to E! News, Grant clarified on Instagram that the pair haven't married. “We've been going out for a long time," Reeves said on the show. “The wedding, it's a nice thing,” he continued. “People did a lot of nice messages and stuff, but Alexandra just did a wonderful [job] addressing. Like, ‘Thank you, but here's the reality.’”
They've dated since 2018, according to E! News.
In September, Grant shared a photo showing her and Reeves kissing on a staircase on her Instagram page. "This is a real photo. Not an engagement photo or an AI wedding announcement... simply a kiss! (Albeit maybe the moment right before or after it... given the slightly goofy expressions on our faces!) We're at Roden Crater, and Keanu and Gard had just finished interviewing James Turrell for Visionaries," she wrote.
"I'm sharing it here to say thank you to everyone for the congratulations on our wedding. Except we didn’t get married. Good news is much needed these days, but it's still fake news, so be careful out there! So, here's a bit of real happiness!" she added.
