Strictly Come Dancing 2025: Who Left After Most Shocking Dance-Off Of The Series?
This year’s Strictly Come Dancing semi-finalists have now been unveiled after a dance-off that we’re not likely to forget in a hurry.
Saturday night’s live show was a Musicals Week special, with just six points separating the highest and lowest on the leaderboard at the end.
Amber Davies – the former Love Island winner and West End performer – most impressed the judging panel with her Charleston, earning her and Nikita Kuzmin their second perfect score in a row.
At the other end was former Lioness Karen Carney, whose Samba with Carlos Gu still earned the pair a respectable 34 points, while the rest of the quarter-finalists each earned 35.
What happened next, though, was something few could have predicted…
Which celebrities ended up in the dance-off during Sunday night’s Strictly Come Dancing results show?
For the first time, frontrunners Lewis Cope and Katya Jones landed themselves in the bottom two, alongside Amber and Nikita, who failed to secure enough votes from the public to save them from the dance-off.
The judges were all visibly shocked at the result, with Shirley Ballas admitting she was “heartbroken”, and presenter Tess Daly pointing out that the two celebrities going head-to-head were the highest-scoring of the series.
Who left Strictly last night?
After each of the couples danced again, the panel unanimously opted to save Amber, with Anton telling Lewis he was one of the best dancers the show had ever had not to make the semi-final.
Lewis enthused that Strictly had been “more than I could have ever wished for”.
“If someone would have said that I’d have done 11 weeks on the show at the beginning, I’d have been over the moon and snap their hand off,” he said.
“So, thank you to the full show, to everyone for having a space where people can be themselves, grow, learn, express themselves. It’s been incredible and a memory that I’ll have for the rest of my life, and I think it’s all down to [Katya].
“You’ve literally given me absolutely everything I could wish for as a friend, as a teacher, and I couldn’t imagine it with anybody else. So, thank you very much.”
@bbcstrictly Lewis and Katya, thank you for bringing your absolute brilliance to the Ballroom every week, and just like your Couple’s Choice routine, ‘you’re so very special’. Giving #Strictly some unforgettable routines, you should both be so proud ????❤️
