Paul Mescal & Josh O'Connor Bring 'The History of Sound' to BFI London Film Festival 2025
Paul Mescal and Josh O’Connor hit the red carpet for another 2025 BFI London Film Festival premiere!
The 29-year-old and 35-year-old actors met up for the screening of their upcoming movie The History of Sound held at The Royal Festival Hall on Saturday (October 18) in London.
Joining the guys were co-star Emma Canning, director Oliver Hermanus, writer Ben Shattuck and more.
Here’s a synopsis: “In 1917, Lionel (Mescal) — a young, talented music student—meets David (O’Connor) at the Boston Conservatory, where they bond over a deep love of folk music. Years later, Lionel receives a letter from David, leading to an impromptu journey through the backwoods of Maine to collect traditional songs. This unexpected reunion, ensuing love affair, and the music they collect and preserve, will shape the course of Lionel’s life far beyond his own awareness.”
The week before, Paul premiered another of his new movies, Hamnet, at the festival, while Josh also premiered his other new film, The Mastermind.
