'He and Stephen Miller believe': Terrifying theory on Trump's end game shared by insider
An insider shared a terrifying theory about President Donald Trump's end game and what "he and Stephen Miller believe."
Salon White House columnist Brian Karem reports Friday that a source close to Trump tells him that the president's "revenge tour" is inching closer to his real goal.
“One party rule,” the White House insider said. “He and Stephen Miller believe they can make that happen.”
As the government reaches its third week in a shutdown and Trump appears fearful of being held accountable for the Epstein Files, two major actions this week indicate the continued push for consolidation of power, Karem argues. The first is the Supreme Court looking "likely to gut the Voting Rights Act, which would give the Republican Party as much as a 19-seat majority in the House."
The second is Dominion Voting Systems sold to Scott Leiendecker, a former Republican election official. Leiendecker served as St. Louis' Republican election director when Trump ally Ed Martin was the Board of Elections' chair for the city. Trump recently appointed Martin as head of the Weaponization Working Group at the U.S. Department of Justice.
"We are in the end game," Karem writes.
"We aren’t threatened with a constitutional crisis. We aren’t in danger of being taken over by a despot. We aren’t threatened with autocracy. We are in the middle of an autocratic takeover. We are ruled by a despot. Our Constitutional norms are in our rearview mirror," he adds.
It's not something Americans can deny anymore, Karem explains. And with the racist, antisemitic and homophobic Telegram chats released — and Trump floating that he would welcome a statue for Confederate general Robert E. Lee — it's further showed just how Trump and some young Republicans feel.
"The government has no desire to alert us of the pain or alleviate it. You don’t need to read about young Republicans saying they love Hitler. The actions of the GOP show us the extent of their love," Karem writes.
His "ruthless consolidation of power is continuing unabated" and unchecked, he adds.
"As his physical and mental health seem to be failing, his greed, fear and insecurity are leading him to kill everything that once made the United States great," Karem writes.
