Erdogan: Iran has right to defend against Israeli “Terrorism”
Turkish President Erdoğan affirmed Iran’s right to defend itself against Israel’s “state terrorism,” condemning Israel’s actions in the region.
Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan has asserted that it is Iran’s “legitimate right” to defend itself against Israeli “state terrorism.” During a speech at an AKP party meeting on June 18, he emphasized that Turkey is in a critical period and must focus its resources on vital matters related to its survival.
Erdoğan further commented on the ongoing tensions between Iran and Israel, accusing Israeli Prime Minister Netanyahu of surpassing Adolf Hitler in terms of genocide. He expressed hope that Israel would not face the same fate as Nazi Germany.
He added that Turkey is committed to halting Israel’s “inhuman aggression” in Gaza, Syria, Lebanon, Yemen, and Iran. Erdoğan condemned the lack of response from the United Nations regarding Israeli attacks on Iran, calling for greater international intervention.
Turkey has been closely monitoring the effects of Israeli military actions on Iran, with all relevant Turkish institutions on high alert. Erdoğan reaffirmed Turkey’s commitment to ensuring that potential impacts on its security are mitigated.
In previous talks with Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian, Erdoğan offered Turkey’s services as a mediator to bring an end to the ongoing conflict between Iran and Israel.
Turkey’s position on the conflict highlights its proactive stance in defending regional stability and opposing Israeli actions. As the situation between Iran and Israel continues to escalate, Turkey’s diplomatic efforts may play a pivotal role in seeking a resolution.
