Starmer’s immigration crackdown will barely make a dent while fighting-age men still enter UK illegally
ON the very morning Keir Starmer used a press conference in London to counter the Reform success of May 1, a very different picture was emerging from Dover and Calais.
A group of fighting-age men clad in Palestinian face coverings posted a video on TikTok as they attempted to enter Britain illegally by boat.
By the end of the day, many hundreds of illegal migrants had crossed the Channel. That’s now 35,000 since Labour came to power.
The measures introduced yesterday, even if they do make a small difference, will barely put a dent in the overall net migration numbers.
The fact is nobody believes a word the PM says.
When standing to be Labour leader, he said: “We have to make the case for freedom of movement.”
Even when asked yesterday if we should untangle ourselves from the ECHR or disapply the Human Rights Act to deport illegal migrants, he said, “No.”
The reality simply does not match the rhetoric.
The PM is a hypocrite who believes in open borders.
