“Judas” In The Family? Hulk Marries Niece In Lavish Ceremony
The former Brazilian soccer icon Hulk, recognized for his powerful presence on the field, is attracting attention beyond the pitch after tying the knot with his ex-wife’s niece, Camila Angelo, in an extravagant religious ceremony.
The wedding, which took place in his hometown of Campina Grande at the Diocesan Cathedral of Our Lady of the Conception, has sparked renewed accusations of treachery from his former in-laws.
Hulk, who is 38, was with Iran Angelo for 12 years and had three kids together: Ian, Tiago, and Alice. They split up in 2019, and soon after, Hulk started dating Camila, Iran’s niece. This news surprised many people, including Iran’s family.
The couple first got married in a simple civil ceremony back in 2020, but this church wedding was a big deal for both of them after being together for more than four years. The bride wore a fancy dress by designer Samuel Cirnansck, walking with her dad, while Hulk wore a reddish suit with his mom beside him. The church looked beautiful with white roses as they entered to emotional songs like “Sabor de Mel” by Damares and “Que Bom Você Chegou” by Bruna Karla.
Even though it was a happy day for Hulk and Camila, Iran’s family did not feel the same way. Rayssa, Iran’s sister, shared her anger online, saying it’s hard to accept seeing her own granddaughter betray the family so harshly.
“Today is a hard day to swallow… Seeing a granddaughter, who grew up under her roof, betray her own family in such a cruel way would be an impossible blow to overcome,” said Rayssa. She compared this situation to “Judas,” claiming, “Sometimes Judas sleeps under the same roof, eats at the same table, and, at the right moment, stabs you in the back.”
Hulk didn’t seem too affected by these comments. He uploaded beautiful photos from the day on Instagram, stating: “Before God and the promises of our love, we unite in one heart, beginning our eternity together, life! I love you.”
Their relationship has been closely watched since 2019 due to their family connections and when they got together. Nonetheless, Hulk insists there is no secret about everything going on. They have two daughters now, Zaya and Aisha.
A big celebration is set for January 7 at an upscale resort, and around 500 staff members will be needed to manage everything so it fits their unique romance story.
