Anne Hathaway, global ambassador for Bulgari, was in attendance at an event hosted by the jewelry company in Shanghai on Jan. 8. Bulgari welcomed the Year of the Snake — a special year for the brand given its Serpenti symbol — with the launch of the Serpenti Infinito Exhibition.
Hathaway looked like she stepped out of a fairytale wearing an Oscar de la Renta gown evoking Belle of “Beauty and the Beast.” Wearing look 40 from the brand’s spring 2025 collection, the strapless gold gown featured a structured bodice and skirt, the latter of which had a voluminous princess-style quality. Unsurprisingly, Hathaway wore dazzling jewelry from the label including a layered necklace introducing new colors to her ensemble and a pair of chunky glittering earrings. She also rocked a rosy makeup look while her hair was carefully styled back in an updo with an elegant side part.
To complement her shimmering gown, Hathaway wore a pair of Christian Louboutin heels; she appeared to be sporting the metallic reptile-embossed Loubiloo heeled sandal. The light gold shoe features a slight platform and a stiletto heel in addition to minimalist straps — a thicker curved stretch of fabric in front and more slender straps supporting the style in back. Hathaway is one of many stars to opt for Christian Louboutin shoes to accent a formal look. Whether it’s a Loubiloo, a variation of the Kate, a Hot Chick or any other style, the brand remains a go-to luxury shoe for a range of celebrities.
Hathaway’s footwear style isn’t bound to any single silhouette. In November, she stepped out in a pair of black combat boots; at a Bulgari event in 2023, she wore a crystal Versace dress with silver metallic platform heels.
Global ambassador Liu Yifei was also present at the event in addition to a slew of other guests. The immersive Serpenti Infinito Exhibition includes 28 artworks by 19 Chinese and international artists (11 of these were made exclusively for the occasion).
