“I’ve been up all night. I can’t sleep. I’ve lost my home and everything that I own. I have this hoodie and a pair of pants and two pairs of sneakers left,” Cameron told GMA on Thursday (January 9).
He continued, “It’s really important to focus on the things that we have and can be grateful for. Unless you’ve gone through it…you’re just kind of stuck and reeling and thinking. The kids’ projects. The baby photos, they’re only film. It’s very unsettling. It’s very surreal. It’s so devastating.”
He added, “Every few minutes we’re thinking about things that were in there that are irreplaceable.”
He did confirm he grabbed passports, birth certificates, and some photo albums that he could grab before being forced to evacuate for safety.
He also confirmed he’ll be trying to help others, and rebuild his home.
On Cameron‘s Instagram post, he received some support from Hallmark actors and celebrity friends. Andrew Walker posted, “No words. Hug your kids brother. We’re here, if you need a place to stay.” Nikki DeLoach wrote, “Oh Cam, I am so so sorry. Sending so much love and holding you and yours in my heart.” Erin Krakow wrote, “Oh no, I am so sorry Cameron.” Lacey Chabert wrote, “So glad you’re safe but just heartbroken for you and everyone affected. I’m so sorry. Praying and sending you guys all our love ????????” Victor Webster wrote, “So sorry to hear brother, that’s devastating. I can’t imagine what you must be feeling. If I can help in any way let me know. Glad you’re safe.” Alison Sweeney shared, “I am so sorry cam! This is just devastating to see. Sending you& your family love & prayers.”
