Ariana Grande and Ethan Slater Had a Big Night Out
Ethan Slater is standing by his Glinda. Just when you thought the Wicked press tour was over, Slater and Ariana Grande made a rare appearance at the National Board of Review gala in New York on Tuesday, where the Wicked cast was being honored with the Board of Review’s Spotlight Award for best film in addition to Best Creative Collaboration with co-star Cynthia Erivo.
Slater didn’t appear to join Grande at Sunday’s Golden Globes ceremony, and the co-stars turned couple walked the NBR gala red carpet separately. However, they reconvened inside at their cast table, sitting cozily side by side.
Apart from posing for a few cutesy photos before sitting down for dinner, their PDA was subtle; every now and then, Slater could be seen wrapping his arm around the singer and squishing their chairs together. At the end of the night, the two left very much together, arm in arm. Their true red-carpet debut may still be far off, but I wouldn’t be surprised if we get a few more public appearances as awards season continues.
